The Top 3 Things To Do When Buying a House
There are three big things you should do to prepare to purchase a home.
Number 1 – get your credit pulled. When checking you score, it’s important to remember that credit bureaus use different algorithms depending on whether you purchase furniture, or a car, or when you purchase a mortgage. Talk with a lender at least 6-12 months in advance and if necessary, work with them to find out ways to improve your score before purchasing a home.
Number 2 – Figure out your down payment. Find out how much is going to be required to put down, and determine where your down payment will come from.
Number 3 – Keep your life simple! When you decide to buy a home, don’t make any large purchases as it can negatively affect your debt-to-income ratio.
